ABSTRACT & PICASSO INSPIRED ART by the FABULOUS FIVES!
In grade 5T we have been looking at abstract
symbolism and cubism style art inspired by Pablo Picasso and other artists. Using the data projector we looked at lots of examples and discussed what we could see. Some people thought that the actual content of the art was hard to see. Some people thought that the work was colourful and unusual. We thought some paintings were very simple and not very life like. We could see that the artists tried to show some different emotions including sadness, shame and confusion. Most of us had fun having a go at creating our own art work using a similar style. Some people found it a bit of a challenge but the end results were very creative!.
If you would like to see further examples of our fabulous work, please come and view the work on display in the corridor and classroom.

I totally agree with you Sherre! I could not have been more pleased with every one efforts during this art focus. They are certainly very creative and I really enjoyed their responses to discussions. They are all stars!
